Hey coffee lovers,
I've been working on something I can't wait to share with you: 12 brand new coffee flights designed to completely transform how you discover and experience Golden Ember coffees.
Before you see these anywhere else (Facebook, Instagram, or email), you're getting the exclusive first look right here on the blog. Consider this your insider access.
The New Flight Lineup
I didn't just reshuffle existing products. I spent months thinking about how you actually
explore coffee. Some of you want to compare origins. Others want to dive into roast levels. Some are chasing specific flavor profiles, and others just want me to surprise them with something amazing.
So I built 12 flights around all of that:
The Journey Flight (Blends): Ebony & Ivory, Garbage Blend, Peaberry Blend, Red Octopus
The Origin Flight (Single Origins): Ember Goddess, Flower Power, The Don, Sanity Sips (Medium)
The Light Ember Flight (Light Roasts): Ember Espresso (Light), Island Mad Honey, Sweet Tooth, Sanity Sips (Light)
The Sweetheart Flight (Sweet Profiles): Blueberry Bomb, Peaberry, PB & J, Sweet Tooth
The Comfort Flight (Nutty & Chocolatey): Ember Espresso (Dark), Java Jazz, Island Mad Honey, Sanity Sips (Medium)
The Steady Flame Flight (Medium Roasts): Blueberry Bomb, Flower Power, Raj Rebel, Venom (Medium)
The Still Ember Flight (Decaf): Decaf Garbage, Decaf Purity, Here For the Body, Morning Glory
The Barrel Flight (Bourbon Infused): Bramble Cream Spice, Island Sting, Snake Bite, Smoky Venom Creek
The Smokehouse Flight (Smoked): Outlaw, Raj Rebel, Wild Child, Smoky Venom Creek
The Dark Ember Flight (Dark Roasts): Deluxe Dark, Ember Espresso (Dark), Venom (Dark), Sanity Sips (Dark)
The Ember's Choice Flight (Random Selection): A curated mix featuring Roaster's Pick I, Bramble Cream Spice, Garbage Blend, The Don, Wild Child, Roaster's Pick II, Snake Bite, Ebony & Ivory, Sanity Sips (Medium), Outlaw
Why These Flights Are Different
Here's what makes these flights more than just sample packs: education and experience.
When you order a flight, you get access to the complete Golden Ember Flight Experience guide. This isn't just tasting notes. It's a comprehensive resource that walks you through water temperature ranges, grind sizes, brewing ratios, tasting techniques, and flavor identification. You'll learn how to taste coffee like a professional cupper, understand what roast level actually means for your cup, and discover which brewing methods bring out the best in each coffee.
It goes way deeper than anything I taught at my previous cupping events. This level of education comes with your flight purchase. While I'm working on bringing more educational content to the website and blog, nothing compares to what you get with the Flight Experience guide.
By the time you finish a flight, you'll understand your own palate better and know exactly what to order next.
This is self-paced coffee education delivered to your door.
Why Now?
You might be wondering why I've been so quiet lately, and why I'm suddenly launching 12 new flights. Fair question.
The truth is, I've been running two businesses: Golden Ember and my remodeling company, Iconic Renovations LLC. The remodeling side has exploded in ways I didn't anticipate, and it's forced me to rethink how I run the coffee business.
I stepped back from farmers markets. I paused the blog. I delayed bringing back cupping classes. Not because I wanted to, but because I refused to give you anything less than my full focus and care.
The Shift to Intentional Growth
What I realized during this time is that Golden Ember works best when I'm intentional. Fewer markets, but a better online experience. Less frequent posts, but more meaningful content. Smaller batches, but uncompromising quality.
These new flights are the result of that shift. Instead of rushing to be everywhere, I focused on creating something that actually helps you explore coffee in a way that makes sense.
What Else Is Changing
Beyond the flights, there's more happening behind the scenes.
I'm rebuilding the website experience with a focus on education. I'm adding more brewing guides, origin stories, and tasting notes. But here's the thing: nothing on the website will match the depth of the Golden Ember Flight Experience guide. That guide is jam-packed with everything you need to brew the perfect cup. It teaches you how to taste coffee, understand what you're experiencing, and dial in your brewing so you get consistent, delicious results every single time. No guessing. No experimenting for weeks. Just clear instructions that work.
That's the real value. Most coffee drinkers want to enjoy great coffee at home without spending hours figuring it out. The Flight Experience guide gives you exactly that: the knowledge to brew your favorite drinks easily and quickly, and the understanding of why it matters.
And yes, the blog is back. Monthly. With real content. Deep dives into brewing science, origin stories, roasting techniques, and the kind of coffee education I'm genuinely passionate about. These posts exist to help you get more out of your coffee and understand the craft behind it.
The Rebrand You Might Notice
You'll also see a fresh new look rolling out everywhere. I've rebranded Golden Ember with a logo and visual identity that better represents where we're headed: refined, intentional, and rooted in craftsmanship. Same heart, new look.
Cupping Classes Are Coming Back
I haven't forgotten about the cupping classes. But here's what's different this time: they're evolving into something bigger.
I'm exploring new venues (thinking a cozy bookstore) and reimagining what these gatherings look like. Instead of traditional classroom-style tastings, I'm creating social events where coffee lovers connect, learn together, and share their discoveries. Think less "lecture" and more "community." I'm also working on creating different types of sessions to keep things fresh and engaging.
And here's something new: you don't have to wait for a public event. Want to host a cupping at your house with friends or family? I can bring the education to you. I'll walk you through the flights, guide you using the Flight Experience guide, and we'll taste together. It's a personal, intimate way to explore coffee with the people you care about.
Brew Them Right
Want to make the most of your flight? I recommend grabbing four single-serve French presses (11.8oz each) to go with it. They're simple, straightforward, and perfect for sampling. Each press lets you brew consistently so you can actually compare coffees side by side without technique getting in the way. They'll do the job, and that's what matters.
When you visit the flight page, you'll find a cart builder where you can select your flight, add French presses if you'd like, and even include a gifting option. Everything's in one place to make checkout easy.
What Hasn't Changed
My roasting method. My standards. The care I put into every batch. That's all still here, and it's not going anywhere.
Why the Holiday Season Matters
My sales data has shown me something beautiful: you need me most during the holiday season. Whether you're stocking up on favorites, finding gifts for coffee lovers, or treating yourself during the busy months, I'll be ready.
To everyone who stuck with me during the quieter months, ordered online when I couldn't make it to markets, left reviews, and told your friends: thank you. You're the reason Golden Ember is still here.
Your Turn
So, what do you think? Which flight are you most curious about? What would you like to see on the blog in the coming months? What questions do you have about brewing, origins, or roasting?
Drop a comment or send me a message. No bots, just me.
And if you're still with me on this journey, I can't thank you enough. ☕
Here's to new flights, fresh roasts, and the community that makes it all worthwhile.

P.S. These flights will roll out on social media and email soon, but you saw them here first. Welcome to the inner circle.
